CHILDREN’S ‘Lil Crazies’ Workshops:

The OC Crazies not only offers comedy programs to adults. We also provide training to tweens and teens. We offer both workshops in a 7-week series, one-week bootcamps, and one-day workshops throughout the year. 

Our current offerings:

“Lil Crazies” All Improv Tween Workshop: Coming soon Saturday mornings. Teens start January 27, 2024

This seven-week series is held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. This workshop focuses on learning and implementing the basic tenets of improv comedy through drills, games, exercises, and scenes.  We accept tweens from 8 to 12 years of age. The Tween class is held in the spring and summer. Currently, we are offering a Teen class on Saturday afternoons for 6 weeks (plus a grad performance) with Teens 14 to 17 years old. Check our home page for other dates in 2024 for both tweens and teens. Classes are limited to 6-8 students.

While our children’s classes currently focus on improvisational comedy and standup comedy, we also offer writing courses and character development classes as well.

What we teach in our improv workshops:

• Fundamentals of Improv Comedy (rules and tools)
• “Space work” techniques
• Stage movement
• How to’s of creating, building, and developing original characters
• Skills and techniques that lessen inhibitions, build confidence, nurture creativity
• How to interact with a team player mindset

We teach children a variety of skills that are fun, creative, and confidence-building. Just like our other Crazies classes, we offer showcase graduation performances at the conclusion of our individual workshops.

Remember: Class size is limited to 6-8 students, so sign up early! OC Crazies takes all major credit cards, cash, checks, PayPal, and Zelle.
