INTERMEDIATE IMPROV COMEDY CLASS
Thursdays @ 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
May 23, 30, June 6, 13, 20, 27. 6 SESSIONS
If you’ve had some improv training or a lot, this class is for you. We do drills and exercises, yes, but the main emphasis is on improv scenes. Must have some prior training to quality for enrollment. Student enrollment is kept to minimum so each participant gets lots of “stage time.”

Take your standup routine to the next level with this Crazie class! Learn to punch up your set–both content and delivery, though emphasis is in pushing your brand and unique style and making sure every line you deliver packs a punch!! ThiS Crazies course will challenge your creativity, generating new ideas to smooth out what you’ve already written or help you “stretch” and expand on what you already have. The class will also put heavy emphasis on your delivery, giving you techniques for a more sophisticated and hard-hitting delivery style. Lots of fun in this class while we also study the work of well-known comics.

Whether you have a pet peeve or an absurd story to tell, the OC Crazies can help you fashion that information into a funny bit. The Crazies welcomes first-timers to its standup comedy classes–those who have always had a passion to try this comedic art form, but were too shy to try it.

SPACEWORK & MOVEMENT
Saturday, July 29 -9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A one-day workshop! SPACEWORK and MOVEMENT. –How to make “things” appear that aren’t really there! Every improv player needs to create “stage picture,” in order to create an environment that doesn’t really exist. Improv actors can make the audience believe they are dealing with objects in all scenes, but how? What is the theory? What are the techniques to making that happen? This one-day workshop focuses on SPACEWORK which sophisticates an improv player’s style and skill set. Lessons also include on-stage MOVEMENT–where to go and when–another aspect that helps to flesh out stage picture. Class size is limited to 6- 8 students.

The Orange County Crazies offers classes in Improv, Stand-up, Sketch Comedy, and Workshops on how to develop Original Characters as well as workshop on filmmaking. The Orange County Crazies also offer Tween and Teen classes, as well as comedy writing classes. Courses range from weekly sessions to one-day weekend classes, and one-week classes. Graduation performances follow each class series. The OC Crazies conduct all classes and shows on-site at The De Pietro Performance Center in Santa Ana in its 78-seat, black-box theater.

Based in Santa Ana, California, the O.C. Crazies school and the quality of its classes are unmatched, and the student performances are crowd-pleasing.
